Axiom is partnering with a leading UAE Bank, building out their DeFi and Stablecoin Infrastructure for future growth and wider blockchain-related deployment.
We are in search of a Principal Engineer – Blockchain Architect to define and build their DeFi & Stablecoin architecture.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a major bank at the very start of its decentralised finance journey. Helping define their 0-1 banking infrastructure and take the reins in designing secure systems that scale globally.
**This is a UAE-based position where my client will pay for the full family relocation.
The Role
You’ll be the first hire to lead the Defi-focused engineering build and help shape the architectural vision of this dynamic bank's blockchain-related infrastructure.
- Design and implement secure wallet systems
- Build smart contracts and DeFi tooling from the ground up
- Develop interoperable cross-chain and L2 solutions
- Engineer tokenisation systems for banking infrastructure
- Collaborate with key teams for enterprise crypto services
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop reliable, high-performance blockchain systems
- Design wallet, smart contract, and cross-chain solutions
- Guide node architecture and ledger design
- Advise on blockchain trends and DeFi ecosystems
The Candidate
We're seeking a proven Engineering leader with strong DeFi, Stablecoin, and (ideally) banking/fintech exposure. You will have a background of 0-1 build out and deep blockchain experience.
- 10+ years in software & blockchain architecture
- Deep knowledge of EVM, Rust Smart-Contract build.
- A background in building Crosschain, Sablecoin, wallets, and DeFi products
- Experience with production-grade blockchain design
- Expertise in blockchain security and performance
- Strong cross-team collaboration skills and leadership skills
Bonus Skills:
- zk-proofs, rollups, and scalability
- Tokenomics and DAO governance
- Compliance and AML experience
