Axiom is looking for an experienced Shari’ah governance professional to take on a key leadership role within a fast-growing digital bank in Abu Dhabi.

This high-visibility position offers genuine influence across product development, governance, risk, and regulatory compliance.

As it continues to expand its offering, the organisation is seeking an accomplished professional to strengthen its Shari’ah control framework and help shape its long-term governance standards.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Build and lead the Internal Shari’ah Control System for the Islamic banking proposition.
• Shape Shari’ah policies, procedures, manuals and governance frameworks.
• Influence new products, structures, contracts and digital banking solutions.
• Partner closely with senior management and the Shari’ah Supervision Committee.
• Manage compliance risks, audits, remediation and regulatory reporting.
• Strengthen Shari’ah awareness and accountability across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For

• 7–10 years’ experience in Islamic banking, Shari’ah compliance, or audit.
• Strong expertise in Islamic finance principles, contracts, and product structures.
• In-depth knowledge of HSA standards, CBUAE regulations, and Shari’ah governance.
• Experience within an Islamic Window or Islamic financial institution is highly valued.
• Relevant degree required; a master’s or professional Islamic finance qualification is an advantage.
• Confident, credible leader with strong judgement and senior stakeholder-management skills.
