Axiom is hiring for a fast-scaling global crypto trading firm, seeking to bring on a proven Head of Credit & Risk to design and lead the firm's end-to-end credit and liquidity risk strategy.
You'll work closely with executive leadership and manage credit, counterparty, and liquidity risk frameworks in a high-volume OTC trading environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement credit risk and counterparty exposure models.
- Define credit risk appetite and build onboarding processes.
- Monitor liquidity and market risks, ensuring alignment with trading strategy.
- Own counterparty limits, margin sufficiency, and exposure monitoring.
- Create tools and automated processes for real-time risk management.
- Lead internal reporting, policy drafting, and governance standards.
Requirements:
- 5–7+ years of experience in credit or risk management, ideally within OTC crypto, trading desks, or hedge funds.
- Strong knowledge of undercollateralised lending, counterparty credit exposure, and liquidity risk.
- Familiar with Python, SQL, Excel or risk dashboards.
- Ability to communicate risk principles to senior leadership.
- Bonus if you understand custody structures, cross-exchange exposure, or on-chain risk dynamics.
