Axiom is looking for a Tech Lead (Full Stack) - Frontend to join one of our clients building the next generation of digital products. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll drive architecture, mentor engineers, and build scalable, customer-focused applications.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll own the technical vision for the bank's web ecosystem, leading the development of customer portals, business banking platforms, and internal tools built on modern frontend technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the architecture and technical direction of modern React and Next.js applications.
- Build scalable full-stack solutions, including Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services and APIs.
- Drive engineering excellence across performance, security, accessibility, and developer experience.
- Mentor engineers through hands-on leadership, architecture reviews, and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while leveraging AI-powered tools to build high-quality digital products.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in experienced engineers who combine deep frontend expertise with strong full-stack capability and a passion for technical leadership.
You'll ideally bring:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership.
- Expert in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Strong backend experience with Node.js, REST/GraphQL APIs, and Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services.
- Proven expertise in frontend architecture for large-scale production applications.
- Solid understanding of performance optimisation, accessibility, security, testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience in fintech or regulated environments, with design systems, micro-frontends, or cross-platform engineering as a plus.
