Axiom is looking for a SOC Specialist who wants to do more than monitor alerts and follow established playbooks.
You'll build the SOC system from the ground up and help strengthen security detection and incident response for a growing institutional digital-asset business. From investigating threats to improving detections and response processes, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, solve real problems and make a meaningful impact. The Role
Reporting directly to the CISO, you'll help build and strengthen the company's SOC capabilities from the ground up. You'll work across Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, threat hunting, detection engineering and incident response to improve threat detection and response.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Collaborate with engineering teams to strengthen security and communicate findings clearly.
- Apply MITRE ATT&CK to improve detection coverage and response playbooks.
- Build SOC automation using SOAR and Microsoft Logic Apps.
- Conduct proactive threat hunting and threat intelligence analysis.
- Manage security logs across endpoints, identities, cloud and network infrastructure.
- Lead incident response, from investigation and containment to recovery.
- Develop and optimise KQL-based detection rules in Microsoft Sentinel.
What We're Looking For
You'll bring at least three years of hands-on SOC experience, strong technical depth and the confidence to take investigations from initial alert through to resolution.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel and SIEM operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Defender XDR and security event investigation.
- Advanced KQL skills for detection rules, analytics and query optimisation.
- Experience with log source integration, telemetry pipelines and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat hunting and adversary techniques.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 or NIST, with strong English communication and escalation management skills.
