Axiom is hiring for a pioneering Web3 infrastructure company, looking to bring on a Protocol Research Engineer to help shape the next generation of on-chain execution.

For this role, you'll work with a top engineering team to design and test improvements across the system, from auctions and execution to how everything stays in sync.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research how protocol changes affect consensus and validator incentives.
  • Build and test new scheduling, recovery, and inclusion systems.
  • Lead deep dives on token economics and coordination mechanisms.
  • Write a clear research on protocol design and edge cases.
  • Contribute to forums and protocol governance.
Requirements:
  • Solid grasp of distributed systems, consensus, and validator behaviour.
  • Experience with Rust or C++ and validator/node clients.
  • Able to write clear technical research or design docs.
  • Curious, analytical, and interested in block production, slashing, forks, and protocol economics.
Bonus if you’ve worked on L1 protocol R&D, SIMD proposals, MEV mitigation, or novel execution environments.

The Reward

Join a remote-first, async team with strong engineering talent and real ownership. Enjoy competitive pay, generous token upside, and the chance to shape next-gen networks at scale.

If you're excited to help build the future of blockchain from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you!
