The Role
We're seeking an exceptional researcher with deep expertise in machine learning and a strong understanding of reinforcement learning, large language models, and representation learning.

You'll be responsible for developing novel methods that use mechanistic interpretability to generate training signals and intrinsic rewards for advanced AI systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop cutting-edge AI learning and training methodologies.
  • Explore novel approaches to improving intelligent system performance.
  • Drive research into advanced model behaviour and decision-making.
  • Build scalable tools and infrastructure for frontier AI experimentation.

Requirements
  • PhD or equivalent experience in Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, or related fields.
  • Strong track record of impactful AI research, publications, or technical achievements.
  • Deep expertise in modern ML, LLMs, and advanced learning systems.
  • Hands-on experience with AI experimentation, evaluation, and model optimisation.
  • Proficient in Python and leading ML frameworks, with the ability to drive research independently.
Nice to have
  • AI interpretability and model analysis expertise.
  • Experience with LLMs, agents, and reasoning systems.
  • Knowledge of scalable ML infrastructure and experimentation.
  • Background in model evaluation and optimisation.
  • Strong technical and communication skills.
