This is a rare opportunity to build the talent engine of a breakout AI company founded by ex-Palantir leaders.
We’re partnered with a high-growth Series A business operating at the cutting edge of enterprise AI, solving one of the hardest problems in the space — enabling AI to actually understand and execute real-world business processes.
The company has already raised $20M+ from leading investors, secured major enterprise customers, and is now entering an aggressive scaling phase. They are planning to double headcount every 6 months starting with engineering. They now need their first in-house founding recruiter to make that happen.
The role
You’ll be the sole owner of recruiting, working directly with the founders to scale a world-class engineering team in New York and the UK. This is a sourcing-led, high ownership role, no rec ops, no sourcing team, no layers. Just you, building and executing.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning end-to-end technical hiring, with a heavy emphasis on outbound sourcing
- Scaling engineering headcount at pace (targeting multiple hires per month) to support 2x growth every 6 months - Comfortable sustaining 4-5+ hires per month pace
- Partnering directly with founders on hiring strategy, profiling, and decision-making
- Conducting high-quality initial technical screens to assess candidate fit and save engineering time
- Building the recruitment infrastructure from scratch, tools, processes, and candidate experience
- Operating as a true business partner in a high-intensity, in-person environment
What they’re looking for
- 6+ years in technical recruitment in fast-paced or scaling tech environments
- Exceptional sourcing ability, you know how to find and close top-tier engineers
- Confidence screening technical candidates across modern stacks and AI-related backgrounds
- High ownership mindset, comfortable being the first and only recruiter
- Must be based in New York, in- office 5 days/week
- Someone who has scaled VC-funded tech startups as a solo or founding AI recruiter
