Build the compliance function. Shape the future of digital asset banking.
We're looking for an experienced Chief Compliance Officer & BSA/AML Officer to build and lead the compliance programme for a new digital asset banking operation in the US.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership from day one, establish the regulatory framework, build your team, and help shape how digital assets and traditional banking come together in a highly regulated environment.
The Company
We're working with a rapidly scaling global digital asset infrastructure business building regulated financial rails connecting stablecoins, digital assets, and payments.
Its technology helps banks, fintechs and enterprises launch compliant digital asset products without building their own licensing, custody and compliance infrastructure.
With $20B+ in processed volume, a global footprint and backing from leading investors, the business is shaping the future of regulated digital finance.
What You'll Do
- Build the bank's compliance and BSA/AML programmes from the ground up.
- Lead engagement with the OCC, FinCEN and other relevant US regulators.
- Own AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening and regulatory reporting.
- Select and implement blockchain analytics and crypto transaction monitoring solutions.
- Work with product and engineering teams to embed compliance into digital asset products and infrastructure.
- Build and lead the compliance team, advise senior leadership and report to the Board Risk & Compliance Committee.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of US financial services compliance experience, including direct BSA/AML programme ownership.
- Previous experience as a CCO or BSA/AML Officer within an OCC-supervised bank, national trust bank or state trust company.
- Experience managing US federal banking regulatory examinations, ideally with the OCC.
- Strong knowledge of US banking regulations, FinCEN requirements and OFAC sanctions.
- Experience with digital assets, including custody, stablecoins, payments or crypto transaction monitoring.
- A hands-on leader comfortable building compliance infrastructure in a pre-opening environment.
- Experience with a de novo bank, banking charter application or digital asset custody would be a strong advantage.
Why Join?
- Competitive Salary + Performance Bonus
- Equity Participation – Share in the company's success.
- Build & Lead – Shape the compliance function as the business scales.
- Strategic Influence – Work directly with senior leadership.
- Global Exposure – Navigate international markets and regulations.
- Make an Impact – Help shape the future of regulated digital finance.
